Hello! I'm Thad Parmenter, and I love creating art. Oil is my medium of choice, but I also enjoy watercolor and mixed media. My goal is to create pieces that feel alive - images filled with energy, mood, and a touch of nostalgia, inviting the viewer to pause, reflect, and connect.

About Thad
Thad Parmenter is a realist painter and graphic designer who grew up in Middleboro and is now based in Taunton, MA. He earned his BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration from the New England School of Art & Design and works primarily in oil, while also exploring watercolor and mixed media.
Through his finely detailed oil paintings, Thad reimagines everyday objects - particularly old toys - as still lifes that speak to the passage of time. His compositions draw viewers in with their careful balance of shape, color, light, and depth. Drawing on his design background, his work reflects a strong sense of composition and vibrant color choices. Fascinated by possessions and collections that tell stories, he uses his art to evoke nostalgia, emotions, and reflection.
An Exhibiting Member of the Plymouth Center for the Arts, Thad's work has received multiple honors, including Best in Show at the 55th Annual Juried Art Show and First Place in Oil/Acrylic at the 54th Annual Juried Art Show.
